Slovene Philanthropy is a humanitarian organization working in the public interest since 1992. Our programmes are aimed towards raising the quality of living in the community and advocating for the vulnerable groups in society. Slovene Philanthropy has been actively responding to social problems, encouraging and developing volunteer work and intergenerational cooperation, acting in the area of migration, helping the vulnerable and is a vocal advocate for human rights. The activities are united within different Programme Units. Within the Migration Programme Unit, we deal with different aspects of contemporary migration. We offer counselling, information, psychosocial and advocacy to individuals and migrant groups, such as asylum seekers, persons with international protection, unaccompanied children, undocumented and other migrants. On a systemic level, we advocate for appropriate legislature and practice in the field of migration in Slovenia and in Europe.
